What happens in a hypnotherapy session?

The real vehicle for change is the induction which produces, or causes, a hypnotic state. The induction is the method that the therapist employs to achieve progressive relaxation of the body and mind to reach a state of suggestibility known as the trance. This state is similar to the mental states achieved during such disciplines as meditation and yoga.

During your session you will sit in a very comfortable chair and I will talk to you gently and calmly. You will then begin to gradually relax more and more. This feeling of deep relaxation is very good, and has to be experienced to be believed. Once you have fully relaxed you will find that you, with the therapist's help, can access long forgotten memories. These memories are usually the cause of the problems bothering you, and we begin to deal with them. We can utilise the subconscious for the benefit of your health and well-being. Hypnosis is a natural and wonderful way to release you from the hurt, pain and upsets of the past, and motivates you for the future.

The quality of your life will be so much better once you have dealt with your problems.
